Tired

It's been an exhausting semester so far and we're not even half way through it.  Well, we might be but we're not halfway through the amount of work we have to do. I can't speak for Tyler, but I am NOT motivated at all.  I have a ten-page literature review on Thursday and I just don't care.  Maybe it's because getting this master's will do nothing for me.  I don't get a pay raise out of it at my current job, I'm not sure if I want the added stress of being an actual classroom teacher. I'm just eh. Lacking motivation. I blame my students, they're sucking all the motivation out of me because I'm trying to motivate them.  I just don't care anymore. It's week four of my school month for work and some of my students have NOTHING in. What the hell. It's not that hard.

In other news, I think I'm friends with Bobby again.  Strange situation and I wish it was under better circumstances but nonetheless, I think we're friends again.

People always ask me how I'm doing.  Right now, and for a while, my answer is, and will be, drained. No need to ask more.  That one word says enough.  I'm just drained.

I hope I win my fantasy football game today.  The person I'm playing against isn't really a good sport and has been waving it in my face that she's currently beating me by 3.5 points...even though two of my really good players are playing tonight.  She's getting on my nerves.  It's supposed to be fun...not obsessive.

I'm ready for some orange chicken, rice, and soy sauce.  I have to wait another hour.

Geniuses

Sorry, it's been a while since I've posted on here.

Not much is new.  School has started for Ty and he's taking 18 units.  He's pretty excited though and seems to really like his Monday/Wednesday classes so hopefully that will make life easier on him.  That would be half of his classes that he likes :)  I start officially on Thursday and I'm only taking two classes.  They aren't offering the class I refused to take over summer this current semester so I'll be taking 12 units next semester.  That will be interesting...

I did my Fantasy Football draft and I think I'm going to kick butt!  I went through and looked at all the projections and it looks like I'll be victorious!

Other than that, nothing new is going on.  My name has been changed all around.  Well, work is lagging.  They told me it'd take 2 weeks so I followed up yesterday and they told me it'll take 4 weeks.  Geniuses.  I swear, this world is full of geniuses.  I just don't understand how people can be so brilliant.  It truly amazes me.

I think I'm going to go to a chiropractor about my neck again even though it will be a complete waste of my time and money because I think I'm unfixable.  Everyone just says nothing is wrong with me.  Um hello?!?!  Why does my neck hurt then??? Come on genius.  Get with the program.  Geniuses.  I'm just ready for this whole thing to be over.  I mean come on.  It's almost been a year.  Let me just be done with it please!  So frustrating.

Ok, I should get back to pretending to work even though I don't want to talk to any of these fools.  Thus, the ipod in my ears.  Maybe they'll get the hint.  Geniuses.

Identity Crisis

This week has consisted of annoyances at work for me (Allison) and changing my name.  I don't know what it is but ever since we've been back and working, I've been extremely irritable.  Maybe it's because I wish we were still on our honeymoon.  Who knows.  What I do know is I am sick of Northridge people.  I pull down the best numbers for our center--meaning I get the most students to do their work--and they refuse to give me more students so I can make my bonuses and fail to communicate with me that they are all coming in late besides me.  It's just been a frustrating couple of weeks back. What makes it worse is I'm out at LEAST $1,000 because they refuse to give me students.  If things don't change, I am definitely going to take it to the regional supervisor because this is ridiculous.  I use that money to pay for school!  Sorry for the rant.  I feel better now.

I've officially changed my name with social security, the DMV, and the CTC. Tomorrow we will be going to the bank and adding Ty to my accounts as well as changing my name/ordering new checks.  I'm also going to change my name at work.  That's going to be a little strange. I also have to run by CSUN and pay the remaining tuition (yes, they increased tuition after it was due so now I have to pay more.  No idea how this makes sense especially since they told me the increase would not effect tuition this semester for graduate program students) and change my anme. After that, I think I just have some rarely used credit cards to change. It's all coming together!

I've ordered our photobooks of our wedding and our honeymoon.  That cost quite a chunk of change but it's something we will cherish for the rest of our lives! I also ordered my textbooks for school.  I was very productive this week :)  I've also sent out the first round of invites for Casey and Andy's engagement party.  Now I need to put together the fans for it. I should go get ready for the day instead of typing so I guess until next time....

What I didn't Realize....

Everyone talks about how busy people get when they're planning their weddings and how they even become bridezillas or groomzillas.  Little did I know the stress continues after the wedding.  I have so much on my to-do list and am really trying to get it done before school starts for me on September 1st.  Here's my to-do list:
  • change my name with Social Security (check!)
  • change my name with DMV (got an appointment on Friday)
  • change my name with the bank, OFY, CSUN, AAA, Toyota, order new checks, and who knows what else.  If you can remember something/place that I need to change my name with, please remind me!!
  • print pictures from the wedding and place into one of the wedding photo albums we've recieved for our engagement
  • see if Luke will make the pictures prettier
  • write vendor reviews (give Portos a bad one and comment that the florist made the wrong boutineer for tywy)
  • sign up for 403b
  • sign Tyler up for my benefits (check!)
  • get back into shape
  • clean out hallway cupboard/storage area
  • clean house
  • find the motivation to do all of this.
I'm sure there's more but I'm starting to stress out over all of this because I just don't feel like it.  I feel like we've been on the move since we've gotten back and I just want to go back to the Carribean.  In fact, I've already looked up pricing for our next vacation.  It seems like it'll be a while until we can afford that because we want to save for a house.  Oh well, things will work out I'm sure.

Happier subject:  Casey and Andy are engaged!!! I'm super excited!  Tyler thinks I'm more excited about their wedding than ours.  I told him it only seems like that because I don't have to stress about things!  It's not focused on me...now the focus is on them :)  I just have to enjoy and support!  I'm very excited to know that the wedding fun is not over!!! And some of our wedding stuff will be used by them so we don't have to figure out what to do with it!  Yay!!!!  I can't wait!  All I know so far is that it'll probably be in June 2012.  Yay!!

Tyler and I also helped out Amber yesterday morning.  We took Jackson and Brooklyn on a long walk, got them a donut each, and played at the park so Amber could have a couple of hours of quiet.  I just hope she was able to sleep a little bit!

Ok, I should stop procrastinating and go shower and get started on the day.  It's just hard because this dang migraine won't leave me alone :(

It's Over

The wedding is officially over and now we are back to normal life.  It's hard adjusting to normal everyday life after spending every waking moment together and relaxing in the Dominican Republic.  The wedding went super smoothly.  The only hitch was Portos and their incessant calling asking where they were supposed to deliver the cake when it was already delivered.  Stupid idiots. Other than that, everything was absolutely perfect.  I wish we were able to make it around to everyone to talk to them but we tried twice and were unsuccessful. I don't think we could've asked for a more perfect day though and before we knew it, it was over and we were at Joe's with "the Sister Wives family".

The Honeymoon was great!  All-inclusive is definitely the way to go.  The food was ok in my opinion but Tyler absolutely loved it! We made friends with our pool bartender and had a blast with him.  Our days consisted of going to breakfast, sitting by the pool, eating, walking to the beach, sitting in the sun, going in the ocean, going back to the pool, and sitting in the pool drinking.  It was absolutely wonderful.

Now we're back and have started completing our registries.  We've also rearranged our apartment and bought "grown-up" furniture. We love the way it looks and are excited that we have the "married couple" apartment now.

Back to reality.  I'm in the process of changing my name.  I go to Social Security tomorrow and the DMV next Friday.  Wish me luck.  I hate this process and wish I could just snap my fingers and be done with it.  School starts back up for us again on August 29th and then things are going to get crazy again. I will be tutoring a student in math too so it'll be nice to have some additional cash.  I've joined a Fantasy Football League to occupy all my time now that the wedding is over.  I plan to dominate!

That's all for now.  I'm at work and should be preparing for an orientation but instead all I want to do is crawl under my desk and take a nap :)

Double Booked...

Yes, the yacht company double booked our wedding yacht and time.

Long story short, I received an email after trying to get in contact with the yacht company for a month saying something to the effect of: due to an error in our office, we'd like to offer you a free upgrade for your wedding on July 17th.  Being the smartass I am, I emailed them back asking if the error was their horrible lack of communication with me.  They responded to say that they double booked our wedding.  On our contract, we were down for 12-4 on the Ambassador but on their calendar, they had us down for 6-10 on the Ambassador.  Needless to say, I completely FLIPPED OUT!  I emailed them saying it's not acceptable they did this and they have to pay for our invites to be reprinted.  So, we came out of this with a stressful weekend AND new invites (x 2...I made a mistake on the reorders so I had to cancel that too....).

But, we have a bigger yacht now :)  So it worked out.

Last night, I had my hair trial with Monica.  She's amazing!  I loved it and it's really starting to feel like the wedding is coming fast!  We registered last weekend and we had SUCH a blast!!!  We didn't fight at all and had such a wonderful time :)  I'm getting super excited for the day that Tyla and I get married!!!

Anyway, I should get back to my hw....
